Alfred Cason was born and raised in Toombs County. He married to Mary (McCloud) Cason. THey have one daughter and three grandchildren. Mr.Cason educational background includes: Graduate of Lyons Senior High School Master Cosmetologist from Atlanta Technical Institute; Early Childhood Degree from Brewton Parker,Bachelor of Arts from American Bible College, Bachelor of Religion Education from Emmanuel Bible College, Masters in Christian Counseling from Trinity Temple College of Religion and a Doctor of Counseling and Communication Degree from Trinity Temple College of Religion.

Alfred Cason has owned and operated a barber and cosmetology business for over 30 years. He is the past owner and operator of Early Childhood Development in Lyons. He was the Pastor of the First African Baptist Church in Lyons,Georgia for over twenty (20) years.

He is presently the Pastor of the Oak Grove Baptist Church of Swainsboro,Georgia and the Watkinsville Missionary Baptist Church of Waynesboro,Georgia for the past 5 (five) years. H is the organizer of the community youth with full court gymnasium;director of the Boys and Girls Club in Swainsboro,Georgia;Moderator of the Second Union Association(Baptist);member of the Board of Trustees of the Bryant College Seminary;member and officer of the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia and Executive officer of the National Baptist Convention of Christian Education.
